St. Expeditus:  Patron Saint of Speedy Causes The venerated image of St. Expeditus in  the Lipa Cathedral In the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Sebastian in Lipa City is a venerated image of a young Roman Centurion saint named Expeditus. Every month of April, a nine day novena in his honor is held in the cathedral that culminates in the celebration of his feast day on the 19th of the month. Who is this saint whose intercession was also invoked in the Oratio Imperata  to avert a catastrophic eruption of Taal Volcano prepared by the Archdiocese of Lipa when the volcano exhibited extra-ordinary activity early  in January, 2020?  St. Expeditus could have found affinity with the Lipenos since the martyr shares a lot of commonality with St. Sebastian, the city’s patron. Episode 6. Liham buhat sa Seminaryo

Nandito ako sa Bacolod ngayon para sa isang misyon haha - di naman talaga misyon, uma-attend lang ako ng film festival na in-organize ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Festival ito ng mga pelikula mula sa iba't ibang rehiyon sa bansa. At nakakatuwa manood ng mga pelikula gawa ng mga budding film makers from the regions. Nagkataon na kasali ang dalawang pelikula na ginawa ng mga estudyante ko as their thesis kaya nandito ako as festival delegate representing CALABARZON.

Habang inaaliw ko ang sarili ko sa panonood ng mga Visayan short films (Hindi ako marunong magbisaya, merong subs ang mga pelikula buti na lang) ay nakatanggap ako ng text message mula sa aking ka-co-teacher "May dumating na letter para sa iyo mula sa xxx Seminary". Kinabahan ako, ito kasi yung letter na hinihintay ko, ang magsasabi kung nagqualify ako sa next stage ng admission process. (office address ang ibinigay ko sa seminaryo kasi hindi alam sa bahay na nag-aaply ako. haha) Naexcite tuloy ako umuwi eh linggo pa ang balik ko sa bahay at sympre, Lunes sa opisina. haha.

Pero kung ano't ano man ang laman ng liham na iyon na nagpa-excite sa akin, babalitaan ko agad kayo sa Lunes... Bahala na si Lord. Sa ngayon, ieenjoy ko muna ang mga pelikula at pagkain (ang sarap ng pagkaing Bacolodnon - lalo akong tataba nito eh).

Post script (2020): Na-realize ko lang ang istorya ng bokasyon ay para ring pelikula, iba't ibang kwento, iba't ibang episodes.  Subalit ang mahalaga, di tulad ng pelikula, sa bokasyon, bawat kwento may kwenta.
